Here for you 7 days a week Our customer care team are here until 8pm every day (6pm on Sundays). Our bookings team are local experts, and they’re often out and about visiting properties so they can personally recommend the right choice for your holiday. If there’s a question we can’t answer, we’ll ask the property owner for you. And if you experience any holiday hitches, we’ll do everything we can to get you back on track.

Our story so far

It’s been 15 years since our founder, Sylvia Cutting, set out with a dream in mind.

As mother in law to a busy entrepreneur and a hospitality veteran who’d spent her life caring for guests, Sylvia knew better than anyone: spare time in our hectic lives is precious.

The dream? Well, Sylvia was frustrated by the UK self-catering scene. It had become tired. What should be a well-earned opportunity to relax, enjoy privacy with family and friends, had become an unpredictable, second-rate option. The experience was falling short, and Sylvia wanted to make a difference.

Perhaps it was fate that Sylvia’s son in law, Liam, asked her to manage his seafront apartment in Brixham. The location was special, and Sylvia knew she could make the property even more so. She pictured her guests arriving, tired from the journey only to step out on the balcony, breathe sea air and instantly feel all the stress fall away. She imagined them feeling pampered without intrusion, enjoying luxurious quality time with no interruptions or frustrations. An escape -  exactly what a holiday should be. So she set to work.

Sylvia advertised Moorings Reach, Brixham in The Times. Guests flocked from their hectic lives in London… and soon they were returning year after year. Today, Moorings Reach is still one of our most popular developments.

Word spread. Over a bottle of bubbly, Sylvia inspired property owners to make their holiday homes special, so that holidaymakers could discover how perfect their quality time should be.  Her business grew and grew - she’d been right all along.

In 2009, when Sylvia retired, she handed the reigns to her son-in-law Liam - someone who’d shared her vision since the beginning. With the help of MD Alan Taylor and a small, committed team, Liam grew Blue Chip Vacations into Blue Chip Holidays - the UK’s leading premium self-catering agency - seeking out the most special properties in Dorset, the Isle of White and more recently beautiful Yorkshire.

Today, our portfolio really is a dream  - over 1000 properties in wonderful locations and we’re proud of every single one. We’ve even touched new areas with our magic - you’ll find Blue Chip Lodges & Resorts in our portfolio that show what real holidays are made of.

Creating true relaxation is something of an artform. (We learned that from Sylvia). It’s all about ambience and imagination, care and attention…worrying about the details so our guests don’t have to. Perhaps there’s also an instinctive sense for what’s special…. either way, every day our business grows we get more and more excited about what we do.

Digital Opportunities

Competitive Salary + bonus


The positions available are key to supporting the business in its next growth phase. They represent a real opportunity to be responsible for developing, supporting and managing the online and digital marketing strategy. These positions are responsible for a significant budget and line management responsibility.

Successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing online / digital activity, and creating recommendations and strategies that will improve business performance whilst balancing the needs of customers and the brand. You will liaise with both internal teams and external agencies to ensure that the online strategy and activities integrate with the overall marketing plans, meet wider business needs and are effectively communicated to stakeholders.
