We all have our favourite Cornwall beach for walking the dog, that little spot we dream of on those summer days in the office...but Fistral Beach near Newquay is iconic. We’re talking postcard perfect, poetry inspiring sand, waves and dunes. Oh, and dogs are welcome everywhere throughout the whole year...
Just half an hour’s drive away from Ilfracombe, Saunton Sands in Saunton is another great spot to unroll your picnic blanket during a beach holiday in Ilfracombe and dogs are welcome all year round.
Life in Perranporth centres around the sea, or more to the point, the beach- and with three sandy miles between Droskyn Point and Penhale Sands it's easy to see why. Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round (on leads during July and August), hurrah!
For a lovely dog walking spot on the Jurassic Coast, at the end of Chesil beach head for Abbotsbury Beach. With its pebble and shingle banking, this is the stretch of coastline that allows dogs all year round.
Putsborough Sands Beach in Braunton is another one for your list of beaches to take the dog. Found at the southern end of Woolacombe Bay – this clean, large beach is another of North Devon’s finest.
